Meet Anna Ferguson

Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro to American parents, Anna Ferguson developed an early appreciation for culture, travel, creative expression, and different ways of seeing the world. She now lives in Greenwich, Connecticut, where she balances a career in marketing with an active painting practice.

More about Anna

Ferguson’s creative roots began in illustration and drawing, but several years ago she discovered the joy of working with paint and color. What began as curiosity grew into a sustained passion, developed alongside a full-time career and shaped through a largely self-taught process. She explored both acrylic and watercolor before ultimately returning to acrylic as her primary medium, drawn to its vibrancy and expressive range. Today, she works primarily in acrylic on paper and canvas.

Inspiration

Inspired by the special nooks of the world—the places you want to go back to—her paintings seek to hold onto the feeling of being somewhere that stays with you. Whether along a coastline, in the mountains, or beneath an open sky, her work captures the atmosphere and emotion of place.

Beyond Painting

Alongside her painting practice, Ferguson also creates playful, expressive illustrations that reflect another facet of her creative voice. She remains curious about new mediums and approaches, guided by a love of color and a desire to capture joy and peace.
